Made from 3mm thick MDF. The front side of the White Faced MDF is painted white. The back side is a plain light brown mdf colour.
We only use FSCยฎ Certified and CE Marked MDF. This is Manufactured to BS - EN622-5 โ E1 Formaldehyde emission.

Sealing MDF

Sealing the painted side of the white mdf is not necessary as this has already been treated and painted. However we do recommended that you seal the backside, as this will keep the mdf stable and stop any warping. We do recommend that you seal the mdf back surface and especially the edges, using a diluted pva glue or primer prior to painting.
You can use most paints and sprays to decorate including Furniture paints, Emulsions and Acrylic sprays and Acrylic paints. We recommend using acrylic paint markers for the edges as this covers really easily.
Acrylic paints will give you the best possible finish it is easy to apply and mix colours. A little paint goes a long way.
Make sure you sand between coats with a 240 grit sandpaper or higher.
Application with a foam brush or roller will give you the best finish with outstanding results.

The front side of the letters are White Painted MDF, No visual Burn marks and clean edges, meaning they can be used right away. ย If they are being mounted the edges can be either left natural to give it a 3D effect, or they can be painted. The back side of the letters areย plain MDF.. ย If they are being mounted the edges can be either left natural to give it a 3D effect, or they can be easily painted (we recommend using acrylic paint markers for this). Laser Cutting: The top side of the white mdf will be free from scorch marks. The laser cutting process will leave a medium brown finish to the edges of the white MDF after the laser cutting process has finished. Any laser processing marks to the back of the mdf can be removed by using a Scotch-Brite pad, Light grade sandpaper or by simply painting over them.
