Sealing MDF
Sealing MDF
Sealing MDF is not 100% necessary for crafting, but LaserworksUK highly recommended that you do so, as this will allow you to get the best possible finish when decorating your crafts. We do recommend that you seal all the mdf surfaces and especially the edges, using a diluted pva glue or primer prior to painting.
You can use most paints and sprays to decorate including Furniture paints, Emulsions and Acrylic sprays and Acrylic paints.
Acrylic paints will give you the best possible finish it is easy to apply and mix colours. A little paint goes a long way.
Make sure you sand between coats with a 240 grit sandpaper or higher.
Application with a foam brush or roller will give you the best finish with outstanding results.

Delivery is via Royal Mail's 24 or 48 hour services. Delivered is normally within 1 to 2 working days. Orders are shipped the same day if you order before 2pm, but at busy times this can take up to 24 hours. Orders placed after the cut off time will be shipped the next working day. Personalised Wooden Keyring
These personalised keyrings are for stocking fillers and are ideal to use for Wedding Favours, also perfect for novelty gifts and Presents.
Depending on the length of your name, these are Approximately 30 x 60mm. If you require a specific size? Then just leave us a note in the order of comments and we will make it to your chosen length.
No limits on the length of your keyring or name any name length is allowed. Just leave a message for us and we will add your chosen name to the item. These are also ideal to use as name tags on kids' Bags, and luggage cases.
Please know that the name is engraved onto the wooden key-chain on one side only.
We can personalise Wooden Keyrings with the Name of your choice, swear word are ok and we can also use hyphens, flares and symbols. We can virtually add anything to the keyring as long as it can be made using contours as this is how the keychains are built, contours are like layers they are built up from the canter of the word or letter and this gives the keyring its amazing affect.
We only use FSC® Certified and CE Marked MDF. This is Manufactured to BS - EN622-5 – E1 Formaldehyde emission.
MDF Cut Edges
MDF Cut Edges
Laser Cutting: The laser cutting process will leave a medium brown finish to the edges of the MDF after the laser cutting process has finished. Any laser processing marks to the top and bottom of the mdf can be removed by using a light grade sandpaper or by simply painting over them.
CNC Cutting: If your item was cut on one of our CNC router machine you will have no burnt edges, the edges will be clean and ready for you decorate.
